Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult was called into its existence during the cold wintery months of 1997.
After the glorious days of early old school black metal had been infested by Gothic influences, and the betrayal of the Scandinavian forefathers - who apperently changed their allegiance, it was the intention of the two founding members Onielar (vocals, guitar) as well as Ariovist (drums) to call forth a band which would contribute it's music to the old traditional vein of black metal.
This line-up was reinforced by Velnias (guitar) who joined their ranks after approximately six unholy months. The position of the bass strangler stayed vacant since day one. Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult stands for own satanic and nihilistic beliefs, along with the conspiracy for raw black metal this spirit is carved deep into their hearts. Thus, it seems nearly impossible to find an individual which combines both the skill and the mandatory views of the occult. Only these individuals may join the Slaughtercult.
In the following months the darkened trinity put much effort, sweat and blood into their very first hymns. During this time many tried out for the open bass position, but all were slain, all fell down to be mere cannon

Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult is a German-Polish black metal band from Dormagen, formed in 1997, with Yvonne ‘Onielar’ Wilczynska having fronted the band since the beginning. If you were to play the group’s music for an unknowing listener, there is no way they’d recognize Onielar as a female vocalist, but with her aid as the face of the band, Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult has succeeded at becoming a force in the underground black metal scene. She may be the most terrifying female metal frontwoman on the planet. Onielar packs a sharp vocal style along with solid guitar work and an unnerving stage presence.
Out of the four full-length albums and various splits the band has released, their 2004 record, ‘Nocturnal March’ is arguably their most noteworthy. The self-released album contains some serious black metal gems such as ‘Chronicler of Chaos,’ ‘Scaffold Salvation’ and ‘The Dead Hate the Living.’ The velocity and precision of the band is paramount when compared to their contemporaries, stitching together elements of speed metal within their evil attack

Biographie
[modifier | modifier abide code]Le groupe est formé pendant l'hiver 1997 à Dormagen[1],[2] à l'initiative d'Yvonne « Onielar » Wilczynska, d'origine polonaise[3].
En 2004, le groupe publie l'album auto-produit Nocturnal March qui contient nonsteroidal titres comme Chronicler tension Chaos, Scaffold Salvation trepidation The Defunct Hate interpretation Living[4].
