She is the granddaughter of the Legendary Capoeira Master, who taught Eddy Gordo Capoeira.
Biography
Christie is a young Brazilian woman. Her grandfather is a Capoeira master. She cares deeply for her friend, Eddy Gordo, who learned capoeira from her grandfather, and in turn taught her.
Christie's grandfather was doing a long stint in prison. During a prison riot, he defended himself impressively by using the art of capoeira. He attracted the interest of a young Eddy Gordo, in prison under false charges. Eddy studied under Christie's grandfather for eight years in prison, becoming a master of capoeira.[10] Whilst in prison, Eddy promised his master that, on release, he would teach capoeira to his master's granddaughter.
Eddy sought Christie out after he returned from the third King of Iron Fist Tournament, and taught Christie for two years. Christie quickly picked up the art and became adept at it. Eddy disappeared shortly afterwards however,

She is the granddaughter of a legendary capoeira master who taught Eddy Gordo the art of capoeira in prison. After Eddy Gordo's release, Eddy swears an oath to his master to teach his granddaughter, Christie, the art of capoeira. Becoming a prodigy in only two years, Christie mainly involves herself in The King of Iron Fist Tournaments in search of a cure for her grandfather, who has become sick during his incarceration.
The character has received positive reception from critics and fans, and, along with Eddy, has been credited with popularizing the art of capoeira to a new audience within the larger gamer and martial arts community.
Conception and design
[edit]The Tekken 3 development team wanted to include a Capoeira practitioner for the game and turned to the development artists to create the character. It was desired by Masahiro Kimoto, one of the game designers of Tekken 3, that the Capoeira character be female but the artist that was tasked with the character's design deemed the female character too
